Welcome to the Ring O' Bells

The Ring O’ Bells will be opening its doors this Friday 8th of December from 12pm following some much needed restoration and a substantial refurbishment.

Having navigated a few hurdles including a global pandemic, we're looking looking forward to throwing our doors open, and once again welcoming the patient folks of West Kirby and Wirral. Our hope is for the Ring O'Bells to become that great proper pub that everyone wishes they had on their doorstep, top-notch beer, quality wines, freshly made tasty food and some friendly familiar faces on both sides of the bar.

We appreciate you may have some questions ahead of the opening so we have put together some FAQs to hopefully answer a few of them.

What to expect

We aim to keep things simple; fresh interesting food, a choice of great beer, quality wines all enjoyed in cosy comfortable surroundings.

Our menu is mix of British pub classics, with some more interesting dishes from further afield and seasonal specials. Our experienced team of chefs use local fresh produce, to create wholesome, tasty, unpretentious food. Our bar offers local and national champion cask beers, interesting craft brews and a list of carefully selected (it's a hard life...) wines from 'new' and 'old' parts of the world. We have a gin or two, a few decent malts and hopefully the odd cocktail to wet the whistle.

Lovingly restored

In restoring the largely Victorian pub back to it's former glory, we aim to make the most of its original features and interesting spaces, with real fires and plenty of old furniture to give the old place a lived-in cosy feel. To try and give the pub a greater connection to the garden along with a light and airy space for those ever too brief summer months, we've added a garden room which overlook the restored gardens and a new terrace at front of the pub. We look forward to you stepping through the doors and hopefully you'll like what we've done with the place.

Beers a plenty

We're proud of the beers we stock and the quality we serve, you'll always find a local tipple on our pumps from one of the surrounding breweries of which we have some crackers on the Wirral and in the Cheshire area.

Our large selection of premium lagers, craft and non-alcoholic beers means that there's a beer for every taste and occasion behind our bar.
