Festive celebrations at the Ring O' Bells
With the festive season upon us it’s time to start celebrating! Join us at the Ring O' Bells this Christmas for a warm, relaxing and friendly festive celebration.
We feature some cracking Christmas guest ales that are brewed just for the season along with steaming mulled wine. Mix these with our roaring open fire, our cosy surroundings and our friendly bar team, and we really have a recipe for a fantastic first Christmas.
There'll be a lively and friendly atmosphere full of festive cheer making it the perfect place for your Christmas celebrations.
We don't have a set Christmas menu as such but instead have lots of yummy festive specials on our every day menu throughout December for you to choose from.
These are some of our special festive dishes that will be appearing on our menu come December alongside our pub favourites:
Winter vegetable, tomato & white bean soup served with warm rustic bread and basil oil (v, vgo)
Star anise, cinnamon & orange confit duck leg salad Lyonnaise, with cherry vine tomatoes, soft poached egg, red onion, new potato, anchovy, black olive and basil dressing (gf)
Wild mushroom, parmesan & truffle arancini bites, rocket & pomegranate salad, herb mayo (v, vg)
Chicken liver parfait, Christmas slaw, sweet beet pickled onions and warm Bara brith
Smoked mackerel, cracked black pepper & spring onion rillette, roasted onion chutney,, toasted ciabatta (gfo)
Goat’s cheese & balsamic beetroot salad, garlic & thyme confit cherry tomatoes, crisp toasted pine nuts (v, gf)
Traditional roast turkey with sage, onion & chestnut stuffing, roast Maris pipers, pigs in blankets,
honey Chantenay carrots, butter roasted sprouts & chestnuts, cranberry sauce (gfo)
Spiced Christmas Gammon with an orange & membrillo glaze, roasted cauliflower, pomegranate, mint & almond tabbouleh, apple chutney
Chestnut, cranberry & cashew nut roast, roast Maris pipers, maple syrup chantenay carrots, herb sprouts, red cabbage puree (vg,)
Slow braised beef daube with a whiskey & green peppercorn sauce, spring onion & beef tallow mashed potato, tender stem broccoli, crispy shallots (gf)
Plancha seared sea bass with a smoked haddock, prawn, salmon, potato & herb chowder (gf)
Roast fillet of hake wrapped in Parma ham, Parisian potato, samphire & red chilli, grilled baby gem,
seaweed mayonnaise (gf)
Traditional Christmas pudding poached vanilla berries & brandy sauce
Bakewell cheesecake with flaked almonds, cherry compôte, vanilla ice cream
Lemon & toasted coconut posset, mango puree, crumbly shortbread biscuit (vg, gfo)
Dark chocolate & orange sponge, white chocolate & Cointreau cream, clotted cream
Pear & blackberry crumble with custard

If you are booking a table for more than 8 people then we will need a pre order from you no later than 2 days before your booking, this can be done online and will be emailed across to you in advance.
We will happily suggest some options for wines and champagnes if you would like to organise these in advance of your party, please just ask if you want some help choosing!

Our upstairs private dining room can seat 14 to 20 people creating that extra special atmosphere at this magical time of year.

As you can imagine Christmas and new year is a very busy time of year for the team and they too deserve some time off to celebrate the festive season. So we are just pre warning you that we will be closed on the evening of Monday 6th of January with last food orders at 1.45pm (closing 4.30pm) and then opening again Tuesday 7th of January from 5pm.
